Smart Beginnings Charity Tot Trot ~ September 29, 2012 ~ Harrisonburg Virginia Event Photographer
As this blog post is long overdue....I have decided that I really need to come up with some sort of schedule. So in my quest to be an organized mother and respectable business owner I am going to be better on the blogging. LoL. I mean its worth a try right?
Soooooo....anyhow, I had the awesome opportunity to photograph the first annual Smart Beginnings Charity Tot Trot. If you don't already know about Smart Beginnings it is an organization that focuses on implementing strategies to prepare children (birth to five years) with the tools to help them succeed when they enter the school system. It is an awesome organization and it was great to have my daughter be involved with the Tot Trot and I was able to photograph these little champs. It was probably one of the most adorable things I have ever witnessed, I literally almost cried watching the kiddos in the race. I don't know why it struck a chord with me but for some reason it hit me in the heart. I am known to be somewhat of an emotional person....so this was not uncharacteristic, but I wasn't the only one watching that was a little misty eyed. Here are some photos from the event, if you are in the Shenandoah Valley and would like more information about Smart Beginnings, please visit their website and/or email Alysia at davis4am@jmu.edu. Her information is also listed on the website.
