Kyla ~ Harrisonburg VA Newborn Photographer ~ March 2013

Some of you may remember the maternity session from February when sweet baby Kyla was still a bump in her Mommy's belly. Kyla's mommy has turned from a prospective client, to a friend and I was so excited to run over and meet her new baby. I arrived Sunday when the sky was bringing us that weird spring/winter mixture of rain and snowflakes....my vehicle rolled in the driveway along with a cloud of smoke, yes I do know how to make an entrance. We still don't know what is wrong with the car but of course that was a minor detail as I had a super cute newbie to photograph.  Kyla's mommy and I joked about a photographer who had a seven hour newborn session....and lucky that we love to talk because I ended up there for about 6.5 hours. It was really fun though....we were sweating and chatting, and even got to check out a space heater that C had reviewed for her blog. Anyhow, I had such a great time photographing this little sweetheart. She was SOOOO good!  I always like when I get to sing to the littles and hold them....smell their sweet baby scent....and then give them back to Mommy, so that I can go home and sleep (hehe). It is exhausting just remembering the tender first moments home with my girls. Each was unique and special, but both equally as tiring.
